What is a Sound Bath?
A Sound Bath is an immersive, full-body listening experience designed to use sound intentionally for therapeutic and restorative purposes, nurturing both the mind and body.
The session begins with a few minutes of guided breath focus, followed by the introduction of various sounds and frequencies. These sounds are produced by overtone-emitting instruments such as tuning forks, Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, shruti box, and tingsha bells.
As you immerse yourself in the Sound Bath and focus on listening, your brain waves gradually slow, shifting from an active state to a more relaxed or even dreamlike state. The sounds serve as an invitation to enter a deeper level of consciousness, allowing you to disconnect from external distractions and gain insight into your inner world. The aim of the Sound Bath is to promote deep relaxation, rest, and an exploration of self-inquiry and self-discovery.
